DUI in Norway is NO Joke!
Tuesday, January 29th, 2008 Driving while intoxicated is very dangerous and haphazard thing to do. The penalties have got much more severe as the years have progressed. Looking in the “For the Record section of my local newspaper, I have noticed that everyone is getting at least two days in jail for each offense.
There was even a local business owner that spent about a year in jail for having about eleven DUIs.
While driving home a few weeks ago, the host of the local call in talk show on a local AM talk station was talking about a guy in Norway who got busted for DUI and received 30 days of hard labor (chopping wood with an axe) and large fine. In Norway the fines are based on your income.
